(The generic information below is kept to give an idea what Travel/Accommodation options would have been like for a typical in-person workshop. However, in 2020, the workshop was conducted virtually.)
Local Accommodations
Holiday Inn Burlington
Industrial scientists and senior faculty will be placed at a local hotel Holiday Inn Burlington.
The hotel has free parking and is a 15-20-minute walking distance from the building on UVM campus where MPI meetings will take place.
University of Vermont dorms
Graduate students will be placed in dorms. The dorm accommodation is one person per room in a 4-room suite. Each suite has 2 double sinks with a private toilet on one side and private shower on the other side. Junior faculty and postdocs are given the option between staying in the hotel or dorm. Due to limited funding, the MPI organizers will be able to reimburse the cost of dorm housing. The difference between the hotel and dorm accommodation is approximately $35/day.

Air Travel
Burlington is served by the Burlington International Airport (BTV).
Most local area hotels offer shuttle service to BTV.
Other modes of ground transportation can be found on the airport web site.
Coach
Megabus has direct service from Amherst, Boston, and Saratoga Springs.
Megabus departures and arrivals are at the Burlington Downtown Transit Center.
Driving and Parking
Directions to the campus are available on UVM's website.
